Ale and Christmas - what a combination!

24th – 27th December & 31st December – 2nd January

Imagine spending your festive break in a mini-microbrewery. Real ale on tap (including the current Xmas brew), short strolls to the local inns and plenty of time to explore the area (and  pubs).

  • Christmas break 24th – 27th December (3 nights)
  • New Year Break 31st December & 2nd January (2 nights)

Christmas

Our all inclusive (incl. beer) Christmas break is as follows:

Christmas Eve: Tea and Christmas cake on arrival, traditional carols on the Village Cross, warming mulled wine before dinner, 3 course Medieval themed dinner with wine and fun quiz.

Christmas Day: Bucks fizz breakfast, lunchtime stroll to the Rose and Crown, light afternoon tea, five course traditional roast turkey dinner with fine wines, presents from Father Christmas (delivered by Ozy the Labrador).

Boxing Day: Buffet breakfast, free time during the day (snack lunch available), 3 course dinner.

 27th December: Depart after breakfast

New Year:

Our New Year break starts on New Year’s Eve, with a welcome cocktail followed by a 5 course Somerset tasting menu dinner. We have a fun quiz over dinner and welcome in the New Year on this break with a glass of fizz.

On New Year’s day our break continues with a bucks fizz breakfast and a stroll into the Quantocks to blow away the cobwebs and visit to the local pub. Our evening dinner is followed by a few simple games and perhaps a quiz.

Departure after breakfast on 2nd January.
